Mega Alludu is the story of a young woman, Sonia (Pooja Batra), the daughter of a wealthy industrialist who falls in love with a middle class man, Sunny (Jayaram). Sunny is the son of the priest who officiates Sonia's sister's wedding. They meet for the first time at the wedding and Sonia is very taken by Sunny. But Sunny's perception on love is different as he feels that two people from such different classes of life cannot be together as they will not be accepted by society. Sonia is relentless in her quest to win Sunny's over and she persuades him till he yields. She even kisses him in public one day to show that she doesn't care about social stature. The rest of the movie revolves around how Sonia keeps chasing Sunny and makes him realize her love for him and eventually they end up together.
